A Peace Diplomacy Network for young scholars and singers of Korean Art Song worldwide—linking  Sowshino (K-Art Song Academic Society) located in Korea with the *Korean Art Song Resource Team (IPA Resource ) at the University of Michigan.

Through both virtual and in-person connections, this youth network envisions mentorship and collaborative projects that foster dialogue and creativity across borders.

Soprano Haewon Lee

📖 The Story of Soprano Haewon Lee

Soprano Hae-Won Lee graduated from Yewon School, Seoul Arts High School, and Seoul National University, majoring in vocal performance. She later continued her studies in Germany, earning her master’s degree from the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin.

In 2010, she was selected as a recipient of the Lee Dae-woong Music Scholarship. She has received numerous awards in major national competitions, including 3rd Prize at the 2015 JoongAng Music Competition, Grand Prizes at the 2018 Eom Jeong-haeng National Vocal Competition, the 2018 Paparotti Vocal Competition, and the 2018 Daegu Vocal Competition, as well as 1st Prize at the 2019 Gwangju Vocal Competition, establishing herself early on as a distinguished performer.

In 2021, she made her European debut at the Rossini Opera Festival in Italy, performing the role of Countess of Folleville in Il viaggio a Reims. Her notable operatic roles include Elvira in L’Italiana in Algeri (National Opera of Korea, 2024), Papagena in The Magic Flute (Daegu Opera House, 2022), and Singsing in Andromeda, an art-pop opera by Kim Hyo-geun (Daejeon Arts Center, 2022).

She also continues to present annual solo concerts, including benefit concerts such as Charity Concert for Myongjin Children’s Home (2024), Concert for Ukraine (2022), Concert for Cancer Patients (2022), Concert for the Baby Box (2022), and Concert for Türkiye (2023), sharing music as a medium of hope and compassion.

Her discography includes the Korean art song album Swaying Flower (2019), the sacred song album Jesus in My Diary (2022), and Blossoming Flower (2023).
