“Bridging K-Art Song Storytellers Across the World: Where K-Art Song Becomes a Catalyst, Weaving Cross-Cultural Narratives of Peace and Community Building.”

A Peace Diplomacy Network for young scholars and singers of Korean Art Song worldwide—linking  Sousino (K-Art Song Academic Society) located in Korea with the *Korean Art Song Resource Team (IPA Resource ) at the University of Michigan.

Through both virtual and in-person connections, this youth network envisions mentorship and collaborative projects that foster dialogue and creativity across borders.

We are seeking Korean Art Song musicians and cultural Bridge-Builders who can provide mentorship.

Myeongyun Lee (Mandy Myeong-Yun Lee) graduated from Seoul Arts High School and went on to study vocal performance at Seoul National University, where she graduated at the top of the class and was honored with the President’s Prize. She  earned a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance at Seoul National University’s Graduate School of Music and is currently pursuing the Professional Performance Diploma (PPD) at the Manhattan School of Music in New York. As an active performer, Lee  has appeared in Sousino productions, including Poet Yun Dong-ju (March 2023), Autumn (November 2023), and Two Persons (October 2024). Lee gave the world premiere solo recitals of the complete song cycle The Heavens, the Wind, the Stars, and Poetry (March 2024, Sousino) and Women of Joseon (May 2025).
